London Fibre Art Festival

This past weekend in London (Ontario) was the Fibre Art Festival and Sale - an annual holiday gathering at the Covent Garden Market. There are three groups that collaboratively put on the event: The London District Weavers and Spinners Guild, Simply Hooked Rug Hooking Guild and the Strathroy Pioneer Threadlers.

The day came with demonstrations of weaving, spinning, rug hooking, lace making, basketry, felting and more. It was a great place to pick up some locally-made holiday gifts and get inspired to learn a new skill or revive an old.

Outdoor Handmade Wedding: Danny & Sarah

Danny and Sarah's wedding was a sacred and joyful experience. The rolling hills of Bruce County were the perfect location, as their family and friends gathered on Sarah's grandparents farm for singing, eating, and celebrating together. Sarah and Danny both spent lots of time making beautiful decorations, as well as picking fresh flowers for the ceremony. Their wedding took place in August 2010, and they now have an adorable wee baby named Anya, who I'm sure will one day be featured in a post.

Crafty Wedding: Emma-Jane & Evan

Emma-Jane and Evan's wedding was truly a day of delight. Married last October in Hamilton Ontario, their wedding was bursting with creativity, class, and craftiness. The bouquets, wardrobe, brooches, and reception decor all combined to suit the couple to a tee. Evan and I did a photography trade for our weddings, so he photographed our wedding and I did theirs. Here are some photos to give you a taste of their big day!
After you see these photos you should probably go watch the video for the song Evan wrote for Emma-Jane. It's pretty cute! Video: Emma-Jane by Allosaurus.
